AH is an open platform for designing, showcasing and sharing playful design objects that accessorize our relationship to the environment. We make the prototypes, put instructions online and let the object get better by hands and input of the community.

AH design is a strategy to explore the overlap between the material and immaterial, the social and psychological mechanisms behind our behaviors, material culture, desires and concerns. It aims to create objects that are mixtures of physical form and psychology, embodying tendencies, concerns, desires and knowledge of people who use them.

Inspired by the spread of the DIY attitudes, resurgence of experimentation spurred by the internet and access to information, this project puts faith in the ability of the amateur to create a whole new level of engagement with the world around us. We have confidence that the passion, enthusiasm and varied perspectives of amateurs enable us to create innovative and poetic comments on our culture as an expression of open-mindedness, curiosity and quest for exploration.
