KN Residency

In August I’m in Berlin, doing a precursor residency at the KN – Raum für Kunst im Kontext, continuing to develop the project we’ve worked on in Finland.

KN is run by wonderful friends, one of the ‘project spaces,’ common in Berlin art ecology that combine many functions. It is “a project space for artists, musicians, filmmakers, curators, critics, activists, and friends, located at the intersection of art and its political and social contexts. KN provides shared working space for creative members of the community, a gallery space for visual and interdisciplinary work, and performance space for events. KN is not a traditional gallery. Rather, our goal is to foster the creation of a meeting place where traditional creative roles are dissolved, where the culture industry is challenged, and where vital new concepts of art-making are imagined and shared.”
